Clear Aligners
Clear Aligners
Are you after a smile you love with straighter teeth? Clear aligner treatment may be exactly what you have been looking for. We offer both Invisalign® aligners and Angel Aligner™ aligners.

Many people may have something about their smile they would like to change: crowded teeth, teeth that have shifted over time, spacing, or teeth that don’t quite sit the way they used to.
For some people, it is something they notice in photos. For others, it is teeth becoming harder to keep clean, uneven wear, or changes that have happened gradually over time.
At Dental on Kilmore, we use clear aligners to gently move teeth into a healthier and more aesthetic position. Treatment is individually planned around your teeth, bite, and overall dental health.
Clear aligners are a popular alternative to traditional braces because they are discreet, removable, and fit more easily around everyday life.
Dr Sally Woods has been providing clear aligner treatment since she started using Invisalign in 2015. Over that time, she has treated a wide range of cases — from mild crowding and teeth that have shifted over time, through to more comprehensive smile and bite changes.
Many patients she sees had always wanted straighter teeth but never had treatment when they were younger, while others had braces previously and have noticed their teeth gradually moving again over time.

One of the things Sally particularly enjoys about aligner treatment is that relatively small tooth movements can often make a surprisingly big difference — not just to the appearance of a smile, but also to comfort, function, and how easy teeth are to keep clean.
As a general dentist, she also plans treatment alongside the broader picture of a patient’s dental health, including gum health, tooth wear, existing dental work, and bite function.
The goal is always natural-looking results that feel comfortable and healthy long term.
Clear aligners can help with:
- Crowded or overlapping teeth
- Teeth that have shifted over time
- Spacing or gaps between teeth
- Relapse after previous orthodontic treatment
- Worn or chipped front teeth
- Teeth that are difficult to keep clean
Often even relatively small changes in tooth position can make a big difference to the overall appearance and function of your smile.

Why do teeth shift over time?
It is very common for teeth to gradually move throughout adulthood, even in people who previously had braces. Changes in tooth position can happen due to ageing, grinding, tooth wear, bite forces, missing teeth, and the gradual movement that naturally occurs over time. This is one of the most common reasons adults begin considering clear aligner treatment later in life.
Clear aligner systems we use
At Dental on Kilmore, we use a range of clear aligner systems including Invisalign and Angel Aligner. Different aligner systems may suit different types of tooth movement and treatment goals. During your consultation, we will discuss which option is most appropriate for your smile and treatment needs.
Curious what your smile could look like?
Our smile simulation tool can give you a simple preview of how straighter teeth may change the appearance of your smile.
While every patient’s treatment is individually planned and final results vary, it can be a helpful starting point for exploring whether clear aligners may be right for you.
What is the process?
Complimentary consultation
Your first visit to our Christchurch CBD practice is a relaxed conversation about your concerns, goals, and whether aligners are likely to be suitable for you.
Digital records and smile planning
We take digital scans and photographs of your teeth so your treatment can be carefully planned. No messy impressions are needed.
Review your custom treatment plan
We will show you a simulation of the planned tooth movements, discuss the expected timeframe, and go through any important considerations before starting treatment.
Begin treatment
Your aligners are custom-made for your teeth. They are worn day and night and changed regularly as your teeth gradually move through the planned stages.
A comprehensive approach
Aligner treatment is not just about making teeth look straighter.

When planning treatment, we also consider your bite and jaw function, gum health, tooth wear, existing fillings or restorations and overall smile. In some cases, aligners may also be combined with whitening or cosmetic bonding to help refine the final result.
Flexible payment options
We understand that aligner treatment is an investment.
Flexible payment options are available, with many patients choosing weekly, fortnightly, or monthly payments throughout treatment.
